Introduction: Australian Camp Hiking
Australian Camp Hiking is also known as Thulo Kharka means a large meadow and pasture grazing land of local villager’s cattle. Hence, at the height of 2,050 m high, where you can witness a panorama of the Himalayan range of peaks.
Thus, views include top of Dhaulagiri, a whole massive range of Annapurna Himalaya with majestic Machhapuchare Himal, the famous Fish-Tail peaks include Lamjung and Manaslu Himal. A scenic spot with a number of good lodges with fine restaurants to stop for lunch or staying overnight.
Day Hiking from 7:30 / 8 a.m. to 01 /02 p.m. with a short drive of 2 hours on both ways:
At first, get ready after your breakfast with the necessary gear for a day hike to Australian Camp. Our guide receives you for an hour drive beyond Pokhara valley, to start day hike to high and mid-hills of Annapurna Himalaya.
Drive leads along with grand views of Annapurna past farm villages and towns and then heading towards Kande village. From here climbing lead uphill within the serene cool forest to reach the scenic spot at Australian Camp.
Enjoy the grand panorama of Annapurna and Manaslu mountains and then descend to another large village of Dhampus. Definitely, a nice place on a high ridge with a panorama view of the Annapurna range.
From Dhampus, ride back to your hotel by the lakeside and you can enjoy further activities.
